About

An alumnus of National School of Art, Kolkata, I have been capturing emotions of every form through my lens in my long photography career spanning over three decades.
I began my career as a photojournalist with reputed publications such as the Ananda Bazaar Patrika Group’s The Telegraph, The Indian Express, The Sunday Observor and the Free Press Journal Group of newspapers which I later headed as a Chief Photographer. I also led the photography division for Magna Publishing Company  Ltd, a prominent name in publishing and entertainment business for over 15 years wherein I shot for magazines like Stardust, Society, Showtime, Health & Nutrition, Savvy Cookbook, Society Interiors, Citadel etc.

Although an Honours Graduate in Commerce from Burdwan University, I have been academically and formally trained in playing the Hawaiian Guitar from Rabindra Bharati University, West Bengal.
I have had the fortune of travelling extensively across India as well as abroad and holding several photography exhibitions as well as winning prestigious awards to my credit. My solo show ‘Junglewerks—Loneliness in Wilderness’, a photographic exhibition of lonely animals and birds was widely appreciated. I am a trained and licensed drone pilot from the International Drone Training Institute, Mumbai.
